Groom has suffered ill health

I have always had a lot of affection for Paul. He always took time to listen to my troubles and give me a reassuring word when necessary. But today he is also a great inspiration to me and to others. As most of you know, Paul's been through a lot this past year and a half – the surgery, the rehab – and all that goes with that. But Paul never let any of that get the better of him and his presence here on this wonderful day is a testament to his great strength.

Paul is the bravest and most resilient person I’ve ever known. He has fought his way through some tough challenges, keeping all of us optimistic instead of the other way around. Paul and Linda have already had their ‘worst of times’ and made it look easy. So let's toast to their best of times, and a long life of happiness.
