When Paul asked me to be his best man, I initially declined, as I was far too nervous. Then he went down on his knees, and I got carried away in the moment and said yes.

To know that I am the one he respects the most, to know how much he trusts me in this role, to know that it would've cost £1,500 more to fly first-choice Scott over from Australia whereas he only had to pay for my bus fare; gosh, it really is an honour. There were many good candidates to be Bill's best man from our circle of friends, and I honestly don't know why Kev chose me. I've not known him the longest, I'm not the best speaker or writer, I'm not the best dresser either. And I'm never the best-looking man in any room, even when I'm home alone.
