It’s good to see so many family and friends here, both Jewish and non-Jewish. For those of you who are attending their first Jewish wedding, you may be curious why we pelted Paul and Linda with candy at the synagogue service earlier. Some people say it’s because we are wishing them a sweet life. But if our parents are an indication, it’s more symbolic since during marriage, people apparently tend to throw things at each other.
