  1. The groom and I go back–and back and back–more years than we care to count. Suffice it to say that we were very young when we first began to work together. We collaborated on many projects, but even when we weren’t formally working together, I sought him out to discuss my problems and ideas. They weren’t always of a technical nature, either. I’d come to Paul as quickly with a question concerning my health or where to go on vacation as I would about interpreting the latest company performance figures. Paul is a person you just naturally rely on for help, encouragement, and great advice. He is also always willing to try new directions and undertake fresh enterprises. That is precisely what he’s done at work for the entire time I’ve known him. Now it is time for him to take yet another direction–into that of setting up home with his beautiful wife Linda. It is a step about which I am certain he will excel.
