Roommate

I’d like to think that Paul chose me for this prestigious role because of our long and distinguished friendship. Though he did admit earlier it was more to do with the fact that we share an apartment together and strolling across the hall to knock on my bedroom door was far less hassle than making any phone calls.

For those of you who don't know, I met Paul at Syracuse University eight or nine years ago, where we lived together for two years. Yes, there are some truly shocking stories I could tell you, but this speech is not the vehicle for them. I will, however, be auctioning them to the highest bidder later on at the bar.
