How long you have known groom

It’s awfully strange to be standing here tonight to deliver a best man speech for a guy I’ve known since we were ye big (lower hand to knee). Jimmy and I were attached at the hip ever since we can remember. We’ve always “playfully” competed to see who’s number one. And now that Jimmy’s bestowed the title of “best man” upon me, I think it’s safe to say he’s finally accepted the fact that I am number one after all.

I have had the great fortune of knowing Paul for many years now, and he has been a great friend. Not a great friend in a “I’ll help you move your stuff into a new apartment” kind of way, but rather in a “I’ll get you a beer while I am up” kind of way.
