Catholic wedding

Mark and Laura, I congratulate you on your choice to have a church wedding, according to the tradition of our faith. In Catholic practice, the marriage service is not private, but is a public ritual, encouraging those who are gathered to participate fully in the liturgy. This creates a sacred community and makes your ceremony that much more special – so well suited to the very special people you are.

I must say, Paul was looking very nervous as he stood at the front of the church waiting for Linda to arrive this morning. But who can blame him, when you look back in history all sacrifices were made at the altar? And the modern wedding has done nothing to change that.
