Date the couple got engaged

I remember vividly the day that Paul and Linda got engaged. I had just been pulled over on the interstate for going – well I’m not going to share with you all how fast I was going – but I was waiting for the cop to come to my window when the phone rang. It was Paul, so excited Linda had accepted his proposal he was screaming incoherently. When I figured out what was going on I started screaming too. The officer, hearing the commotion, was at my door with his gun drawn. I remember wondering then if I should be more scared about the gun or the fact that Paul had actually convinced a woman to spend her life with him!
