Groom will make a fine husband

Tonight, my respect for David’s steadfast spirit and attitude toward life has only increased. Earlier today David was pacing about in the dressing area, more excited than nervous. When I was just about to calm him down, he stopped still as a lake early in the morning, looked me square in the eyes and said, “Rob, I’ve never been so sure of anything in my life.” I know David will remember this feeling and direct it towards being a wonderful, loving husband to Ellie.

As best man, I’m supposed to offer some insight into married life for the bride and groom. Now, never having been married myself, I’m not sure I’m qualified to give such advice. The one thing I will say to Linda is this: if Paul turns out to be half as loyal and supportive a husband as he has been a friend, you can look forward to a very long and very happy marriage.
