In preparation for this speech, I looked up the meaning of the bride and groom’s names and made an interesting discovery - they both have plants named after them. Linda's is a Rose, the description was of a lovely flower, a sweet bouquet, gentle yet hardy. As for Paul, I found a Thistle, a tall, erect perennial with a large head, often described as a weed, sometimes found in well cultivated rose beds!
I want to quickly share with the bride an interesting fact I learned. Recently I visited one of those name websites where I found out the meaning of the name ‘Wilson’- apparently that name means to be Wise, Generous and Witty. Then I typed in ‘Paul’ and it returned: RARELY!
